DJP Update 10-9-2012 Media and speeches re Leadership for physicians and interview re PPACA

Busy time for travel to do speeches plus interviews.

1- This past weekend I gave a speech on leadership at AAPS Annual Meeting.  The last time I spoke to AAPS, 1997, was when I was on AMA board and my topic was the Oath of Hippocrates.

AAPS also had a book signing for my new book, The Little Red Book of Leadership Lessons,  and it went very well.  Yes, some early copies of new book have been delivered!  Amazon also is suppose to have copies this week from publisher.  Exciting visit to AAPS meeting.

Tweet about my speech by AAPS and link to video of my speech and my new book.

2- Today, I did the Florida Roundtable interview for 30 minutes.  It was recorded and will be broadcast on 80 stations this weekend.  It also will be posted as a podcast.  Topic was PPACA and alternatives to it.

The podcast should be up by this weekend or sooner.  Tonight the podcast link was not active yet.

3- Tomorrow I will speak for 35 minutes on a Webcast educational program about leadership put on by the Physicians Foundation.  The leadership lessons from my books will be emphasized.  Recent awardees of leadership grants also will speak and there will be a Q and A with all of the attendees signed in to the program.  The Physicians Foundation is doing great work and their surveys of physicians should be read by everyone.  I am looking forward to this.  The people watching will hear the speakers and follow the PowerPoint slides via the Internet.  High tech!

4- Next week I travel to St. Louis to give speech on medical liability reform to the Hippocrates Society Tuesday night and Wednesday I will speak at Missouri Baptist Hospital Grand Rounds.

Will have to record the 2nd presidential debate Tuesday night as I will miss it live!
