The HLS and Chicago Medical Society present a complimentary teleconference, “The U.S. Supreme Court Has Ruled:  Implications for Physicians,” featuring Donald J. Palmisano and Stephen L. Ondra

The ABA Health Law Section’s Physician Issues Interest Group and the Chicago Medical Society presents, “The U.S. Supreme Court Has Ruled:  Implications for Physicians.” This complimentary teleconference will be Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 12:00pm Central / 1:00pm Eastern. The panel features Donald J. Palmisano, a past president of American Medical Association and Stephen L. Ondra, the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Northwestern Medical Hospital, who previously served as a member of President Barack Obama’s Administration.

About the Program

On June 28, 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its decision in National Federation of Independent Business et. al. v. Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services.  The decision and the legislation it upholds, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, have important ramifications for physicians across the country and their attorneys.  This teleconference will provide an outline of the practical ramifications for physicians and a broad-spectrum discussion of the repercussions of the decision.
